Apple announced iOS 6 at the last WWDC and you would be aware of the major features which iOS 6 offers. Currently iOS 6 is available for only developers and other users will have to wait a little to use iOS 6, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot experience iOS 6, you can already get a taste of iOS 6 through some tweaks.
One of iOS 6 main features is the new Twitter widget. A tap on the widget displays a tweet menu and you can type whatever is there in your mind. Now this widget can be made available on your jailbroken iOS 5.x also, with a free jailbreak widget called “iOS 6 Twitter Widget for Notification Center”, developed by Mathieu Hendey.
This widget imitates the iOS 6 widget only to an extend, but there are some differences if we compare it with the original one on iOS 6. One is the difference in the Twitter logo, the widget in iOS 6 uses the old twitter logo while the one in iOS 5 uses Twitter’s new logo. Another main difference is that this jailbreak widget doesn’t support Facebook as iOS 5 doesn’t arrive with Facebook integration.
Anyway all this differences can be considered negligible as it enables you to get a bit of iOS 6 experience on iOS 5.
