As you know, Ultrasn0w an app from Cydia, developed by the iPhone Dev Team that is used to unlock iPhones with supported basebands on supported firmwares. Ultrasn0w is available for free in Cydia. Once you have Cydia on your iPhone, you could easily install Ultrasn0w and unlock your iPhone. In this article, we are going to give you a brief description on the working and installation of Ultrasn0w.
The main thing is that you will need the baseband supported by Ultrasn0w and then the firmware. If you already have the supported baseband, then the dev team will probably update Ultrasn0w with the new firmware support soon enough. While upgrading your iPhone’s firmware, you need to be careful with our baseband. If the new baseband is not supported by Ultrasn0w, then you will have to preserve the old baseband when updating to the new firmware to still have your unlock. For this, you can use tools like Redsn0w, Sn0wbreeze and PwnageTool and make use of the baseband preservation option in them.
In baseband preservation mode, the jailbreak tool will create a new firmware for your iPhone with the old baseband. Then you will have to manually restore that file using iTunes.

1. Jailbreak your iPhone and obtain Cydia.
2. Go to Cydia and tap on the Manage tab.
3. Now open up Sources.
4. Tap on Edit and then Add.
5. Add this repo : repo666.ultrasn0w.com
6. Now search for Ultrasn0w in the search tab.
7. Choose ultrasn0w from the search results and tap on install.
Unlocking process is over! You could now use any SIM you want in your iPhone.
