Siri is a feature which is exclusively available for the iPhone 4S. Now there are reports that iPad users can also experience this feature as part of the latest iOS 6.
Siri enables users to control their devices with their own voices, you can text, make calls, set remainders, play music and even check the weather. It is also possible to integrate maps and manage calendar using Siri. There are wild guesses that the iPad’s microphone will have problem in receiving the voice commands given by the user and would affect the correct interpretation of the commands as it is a larger device when compared to iPhone and is kept farther from the users mouth. Sources are considering this as a bunkum and say that it’ll work with the same accuracy as in iPhones.
There are also reports that Siri will have to depend on a special microphone to work properly in iPads.
Siri’s interface is small and is not gonna be a full screen experience as in iPhones. Siri in iPad can be activated in the same way as in iPhone 4S by just having a quick tap on the home button.
There are faint reports that Siri may make it’s way to the iPad at the expected iOS 6 announcement at WWDC 2012.
